I post these FYIs every now and then. I have always been a firm believer in collecting as many arrows for my quiver as I can. From work to play this has been my thing. So once again it's off to train with the crew over at SOS. The private land with instructors, training aids and trails is top notch. Finally got my FE350w very close to where I've been chasing it for a year now.... a good controlled environment for training and testing will be the icing on the set up cake!!! DD I recommend adding one of these inline, as a more bullet proof fuel system. Name your brand there are a few knockoffs out there. They allow the OEM screen with their added micro screen large surface area filter. ZipTy kind of engineered the first one's then the others jumped on the band wagon.

Well for the first time in many years they skipped the entire year of 2025 to move the event for many reasons (can be answered if you like) to late Feb. Traditionally it's at the beginning of Dec end of most all of the racing season events. Anyway all about us ----the really old guys that continue to support this epic event. The 60+ Masters Class has 20 entries!!! This is the biggest Masters class yet!! More to come. Come down to Santa Veronica and check this out!!

The FE350w turns out is a bit of a error in my judgement at some level. Basically a fully 50 state compliant off road bike. In other words if she had the street gear she would be a DS machine. The ECU and exhaust is the same as the S model. It's a stripped down S model. I guess it is a fully off-road "green sticker" bike. So with what I have done to her I could have started with an S model and had a legit plate. I have been riding her well, but I am still on a learning curve. I knew going in that the KTM 350 powerplant likes RPM, which in past tests I was not turned onto as opposed to the Beta 350 which RPM wise is kind of the same, but I gelled immediately with the Beta and just went right into race pace mode. This FE has me adjusting , I really hit race pace in the last PMX race in Tecate ( won the 60+ class) as well as this last couple of McCain rides. Also with some added hard enduro type control stuff, which was well within my grasp on my former 300s (2 strokes) 14, 17 and 21 Huskys. There It's been taking some time to use the 350 correctly. Back story my first race was also my first entry into the 2 loop format 60+ class in the Tecate Enduro and I came away not enjoying the machine at all. I was not doing well in the Tecate single track, just a fish out of water. Better with time I raced a local Tractor HS southeast of TJ and won my 60+ class and started feeling better at faster pace and in the technical sections. Then is the last PMX race at El Chale, Tecate I was flowing much better and rode super well through the technical sections (that were quite sporting and stopped alot of guys)

I had this on schedule with good intent. But now I need to move a bunch of gear (Moto, Tools and spares) from a storage garage to another location and Saturday 14DEC is the day..... Sorry all 1 less guy on task.
