stevehof 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Are there any other retired geezers, independently wealthy yuppies or hooky players of all ages who want to ride weekdays? The best backcountry riding is on weekdays....hardly any traffic on or off road...

Spyder 2 Posted October 30, 2006 Are there any other retired geezers, independently wealthy yuppies or hooky players of all ages who want to ride weekdays? The best backcountry riding is on weekdays....hardly any traffic on or off road... Well Steve, none of those discriptions fit me, but.... I do have different days off during the week and would love to re-explore east county. I'm a novice rider on the GS and so really need to practice offroading skills. PM me sometime, even last minute.Spyder
husky4me 0 Posted October 31, 2006 Hi Steve... I don't fit any of those descriptions.. but, I am able to take days off sometimes on weekdays, specifically Monday's or Fridays (that's when I'm self employed).. Post a ride.. and I'd love to join you one of these days... My bike is dirt oriented enduro racer with plates, so I can't keep up at high speeks (over 55 mph) for long periods of time... but does reall well on the dirt.. Just like 2-Wheels, I'm looking for a bigger second bike, but I'm holding on for the new models coming up..

pyro 1 Posted October 31, 2006 My schedule is opening up a little bit finally, after almost a solid year of mayhem. Thank the good lord! I'll keep an eye out and who knows, you just might see me out there on any given day or time. If you happen to perceive a lime green blur flying by, that means I screwed up my navigation/timing and missed the meeting spot and time again. Hope to see you out there soon! RIDE ON FOREVER! Troutte 0 Posted October 31, 2006 I guess some of those descriptions fit me. About the geezer, my wife would take exception. But I do get grumpy... I've got the weekdays open but am recuperating from some kind of bronchitis. I'm really itching to get back in the dirt. It will probably be a couple more weeks before I'm healthy enough. Live in La Mesa. Ride a 2002 DR650SE tricked out with numerous mods. It takes me anywhere I can hang on. I'll stay tuned to this channel and hope to catch some weekday rides with any/all of you in the near future. Semper Fi Troutte aka Michael P.S. I spent most of my money on Booze, Bikes and Broads. The rest I wasted.

Look forward to seeing you again. It was a beautiful weekend and a great camping spot (Heise Park). We should make that an annual event. I tweeked my back and couldn't do any serious rides. Hope i can get in a few more before the old body falls apart.

Spyder 2 Posted June 24, 2009 Hey guys and gals. I have decided to revive an old thread for weekday riders. Two and half years has gone by and it seems like yesterday since I joined the group here. It has been a great resource and socially fulfilling. Anyways, now that I fit the retired old geezer description of the original post, figured it was time to find out who has time off for riding durring the week. Weekends continue to be hard to find time to ride...... My wife will continue to work for a while longer and family activities take up most of the time on weekends. So........... who is still available to ride midweek? Spyder (Still a slow novice who enjoys the scenic part of riding.)
TrophyHunter 15 Posted June 24, 2009 I have Fridays off but have been filling them with overtime. Will usually go riding instead if posted.

bikeslut 1 Posted June 24, 2009 I can normally take a Th or Fr off with just a little notice... I prefer a short faster type day, or a longer, miles laden day with lots of views... or something in between Or a day at the track... ok... I prefer any ride to work
tntmo 912 Posted June 24, 2009 Depending on how late I work, I can get in a few hours during the week on early rides in close proximity to SD (Corral Canyon, Otay TT, etc) Last night I didn't get home until after 3am......nights like that I can't ride the next day! SteveO 0 Posted June 25, 2009 Are there any other retired geezers, independently wealthy yuppies or hooky players of all ages who want to ride weekdays? The best backcountry riding is on weekdays....hardly any traffic on or off road... :tease: I resemble that remark. Retired anyway. And I also prefer to ride during the week. In fact, I was going to start this thread, but you beat me to it. Now you have to plan a ride. Steve (another one)
piratemonkey 0 Posted June 25, 2009 We had a round of layoffs this year and I was really hoping I'd be one of them so I could ride during the week. Yeah, a paycheck is nice, but riding is nicer, and dirt riding is even nicerer.
DRZrider 0 Posted June 26, 2009 I oulddn't mind some midweek action. My schedule is largely unscheduled so I probably won't know till late, but definetly am interested. DRZ
