DigDug 0 Posted September 4, 2008 I want to ride, but want somebody else to plan it how's that for selfish? I'm in!!! I feel like riding dirty again this weekend. What kind of riding do you want to do? Half day again or do you have an all day pass?
bikeslut 1 Posted September 4, 2008 Dame... pie hole... shut it Rob/Doug- On Any Sunday... Doug... anything I can ride, I like... I don't like bulldogging, but the pinnacles ride was fine for me... I had to get off the bike and bulldog probably 2 times... in both cases, it was because I'm an impatient jerk, and was trying to find a way around a stuck bike... If you plan a good ride, I'll try for the all day pass... The bummer is; this time of year, the local options are few, and traffic is heavy

If you plan a good ride, I'll try for the all day pass... The bummer is; this time of year, the local options are few, and traffic is heavy I hear you on the local options... There's only so much Corral Canyon you can do. Then you start heading off, doing dumb stuff like riding Bronco Peak uphill from the campground! Sounds like you're implying you'd like to do a Pinnacles run again. I'd be up for that!!! I've got a trials tire I bought that I want try out on the trails. Or we could do some of the dual-sport stuff up there (avoiding the bulldogging sections that we did last weekend) and see some new, tougher stuff. Who else is interested and/or has any suggestions? darylhunter 1 Posted September 4, 2008 I could lead another NC/Vista ORV ride. If we get the right mix of folks we can sample some of the harder trails. Haven't cleared it with the misses yet though, plus I go see the Dr. tomorrow for some wierd bump that moves under the skin on the back of my left hand as I move my fingers. Some growth on a tendon is my guess. Doesn't seem to hurt, just weird, so I don't expect the doc to ground me right away. Daryl

roostingu 0 Posted September 5, 2008 pinnacles is intermediate+... last time we had all intermediate riders and everybody fell at least once I rode this on June 2008 I think U guys did again since then but this was my experience I started that ride with an almost new 530 took out 3 turn signals, cracked my clutch cover, I think pretty much all the scrapes and goudges on the bike are from that ride worst of all lost all of my steam after redondo,(actually about 3/4 through it) all of the sudden I was OLD wow, the ride brought about a few changes in the bike, a new tire, lower gearing, new turn signals and I also learned that I need to eat something like breakfeast, or lunch and not wait until dinner about 11pm and more water. WOW that was fun I think I would like to do that again on a different note Hey Doug you said something about a cheap dunlop at cycle gear what was the tire and I think you said it was like $39 I think the michelin S-12 I ran at CC might not be the best for Pinnacles it was fine at CC but noticed I lost a couple of knobs. So you're coming if we go to Pinnacles on Sunday then? I bought one of those Bed Buddy things for my truck - can easily haul three bikes now.... Yes... Cycle Gear has the D-739s for $35 for the rear and $30 for the fronts. They're not DOT tires and they wear relatively rapidly - but you can get two for the price of one of most tires...
